**Starting today I’m on a 16 day tour visiting most Early Church Sites throughout the eastern United States. I’ll be posting pictures and tidbits about each day on here to keep you up to date!**
After meeting at the Youth Center in Richfield at 5:30 this morning, we were finally on the road to Green River by 6:30. We were able to choose our seat partners for the first leg of the journey, and I was able to sit by my G-wood pal Cherilynn. We had a good time, mostly sleeping, and watching Cars.
When we got to Green River, we had our first bus seating chart given to us, and I was lucky enough to get a partner who had not yet joined us because they are coming up from Arizona and meeting us in Denver. On the way to Grand Junction, I was able to watch an episode of Lost after we had gotten to know the people around us by introducing them to the rest of the bus. We stopped at Grand Junction for lunch, and I’m convinced I ate at the same Wendy’s we ate at when we were coming to Colorado for Trent’s wedding. It was seriously crazy. We got back on the bus in our same seating arrangement, and I was able to watch a few more episodes of Lost while they played Remember the Titans on the bus TV’s.
We made a quick pit stop in Edwards, Colorado and were lucky enough to see 4 police cars at the rest area making some kind of bust. Talk about entertaining. So far, as I write this part of the story, we’re somewhere between Edwards and Denver, where we will be making the next seating change. I’m excited to see who I’ll meet next, they’ll probably get to be the first one to sign my cast! It’s still pure blue, except now I have my WristStrong band on there to help the healing process along. Everyone is watching The Work and the Glory right now.
Now I'm at our motel in Colby, Kansas, after riding on the bus and meeting new people all day long. We got here at about 10:45 local time. Nothing exciting is really here, just a bunch of flatland that started after we left Denver.Anyways, its late, I have to get up early to ride 6-7 more hours to Independence, Missouri tomorrow, and I didn't get much sleep on the bus today, so I'll update you tomorrow night!
