OCTOBER!!!!!!!!!!

When most people think of October, they think of Fall, or Halloween or something closely associated with those things.

For me, however, I think of Chemistry.

Wait. . . Chemistry?

Yeah, Chemistry.

It all started my Sophomore year about mid March or so sitting in the back of Mr. Rowley's room with Nick, Alan, and JD all in the very back corner. We rarely did anything in that class ever, and this day was no exception. Role-dawg wasn't even teaching that day, so we had decided to start bothering JD about him and Claud-dawg. It only took a moment for things to escalate to the point of no return, or the point of dilusionality. I don't even remember specifically what we were talking about, whether it was "Blasphemy" or trying to remember quotes to write on my awesome quote binder, but someone asked the question, "When?" and Nick quickly responded, "In October!!" That was only the beginning.

We quickly began imagining ideas of October-fest, (of which Bro. Shelton lovingly referred to as "Rocktober-fest"); things we would do, festivities to plan, such as the pumpkin carving party, the song writing deadline and many other random things.

Although it is sad to say that nothing ever really happened for October-fest specifically, it started the ball rolling on one of the least widely known festivities in the world. It is now up to you to join in the celebration of October-fest. Write a song, do a dance, tell someone else; who knows what the Spirit of October-fest will do for you!

For Nick, he was inspired to write the chemistry song entitled "Fusion: With 4 Part Harmony" which kick-started the joint publishing business of Nicholas Masterworks (who still happens to be waiting for their 2nd piece to publish).

For the rest of us in that class that wonderous day, the Spirit of October-fest was planted deep within us, calling out for each of us to spread around the joy it brings. This is my quest.

Enjoy October-fest! Its all month long, but remember! Its only for a month so take advantage of it while you can!!!!!
